I got yelled at by my boss because I "didn't give enough notice" for quitting, even though I gave her my two weeks today. By state law, two weeks notice isn't even required, so she should consider herself lucky. Then I had this woman get a free package even though her asshole husband got violent with me, all because she said I was rude, even though I was polite while her dickhead husband was in my face yelling and swearing at me. I don't get people at all. I tell you, I'll be glad when my two weeks are up. Then to make matters worse, my right foot hurts like a bitch, and I don't know why it does, and standing on it makes it hurt even more. Grrr. Damn the world today!

ok, heres what i gotta say on the subject. since it looks to me like they really dont like you, and 2 weeks isnt required, why the hell dont you just quit tomorrow? i mean, if you write them down for other job applications, and theyre actually called, they probably wont say many good things about you. so why even bother reporting it? like i said, id just stop showing up, and come back only one more time, just to pick up your last paycheck. or better yet, have them mail it to you if you really dont want to see them again.

I must agree...I'd just not go in (bar getting paycheque) if 2 weeks isn't required...unless you need them for a reference.
I can totally understand where your coming from with the rude customers...I work (in an overly expensive shop) we get tons of people in which too much money to waste and they see me as a shop assistant...and think they can talk down to me....I had a woman once who was adiment that I didn't give her her credit card back (i had) she kicked up a right fuss and was in the process of calling the police when she found it at the back of her purse...I recieved no apologie which made it worse. Then...the next week I got a bollocking from my boss about making sure I gave people their cards back (you know, even thought I didn't make a mistake in the first place)
Its stupid..your boss can't yell at you for not giving enough notice when u don't have to give it. S/he should have realised that you did a decent thing by actually letting them know in advance and not just leaving...it seems they perhaps don't deserve u to work for them.
I'm meant to give a months notice when i want to leave ><
*hugs*

again, like i said before, if you know they're not going to say anything good about you, then dont worry about any notices. just leave, and flip them off while on your way to your car. trust me, itll make you feel ten times better than any paycheck (well.....maybe )
